Tiny had his first machine-pitch baseball game with the Westside Red Sox. He went two for two with an in-the-park-home run and a solid single down the third base line. He played left field for the first two innings and second base for innings three and four. The Sox won 6-3.
- The Sox won game two 6-2 against the Ducks. Tiny played second. He struck out in the first but had a nice RBI single in the third.
- Sox defeated the Orioles in game four (game three was a rainout). Tiny struck out in the first, but hit two singles later in the game. His base running was phenomenal (Medium was very proud to overhear another parent say “he’s FAST!”). Tiny also played one inning at short and made a terrific stop to hold all the runners to one base.
Tiny is really excited about baseball this year, thanks in large part to head coach Paul Blanchard. Tiny was in first grade with the coach’s son, Brandon, who’s also on the team.
Tiny’s teammate Ben is in the picture with him below.
On a side note, the title for this entry came from a really funny Tim Meadows and Tracy Morgan SNL skit about a clueless early-morning TV talk show host. http://snltranscripts.jt.org/96/96qperspectives.phtml
