I’m in a marketing seminar. Joel Warady tells me that I should be blogging twice a week. He also admitted that he stopped blogging in January because he was “becoming consumed with it.”
This is almost certainly the most enlightening class I’ve ever attended. His frequent mentions of Enjoy Life, a company he represents, have given me a serious hankering for snickerdoodles.

Children, especially toddlers, have tiny bodies with great, huge, heavy heads, and very little good sense. So any time they move (which in Tiny’s case is all the time) it’s like they’re challenging the world to a head-butting contest that they are destined to lose.
Today, though, it was another kid who stepped in front of the swing occupied by Tiny. The other kid came through unscathed, but tiny got a mouse under his right eye that would make Rocky cringe.
I like the adventuresome, fearless attitude but the weekly bouts of head trauma are giving me no end of anxiety.

Not only is the oil spill potentially devastating to wildlife and the entire gulf ecosystem – not only might it have economic impacts likely to persist for decades – not only is it further evidence that the petroleum industry cares nothing for people, merely profit – I have to work weekends. Isn’t that the greatest tragedy of all?

While I feel like I have learned a great deal at the conference I am currently attending, my second 10-hour day of hearing people drone on endlessly about architectures, nodes, panels, views and content types has officially worn so thin I can see through it.
I am actually looking forward to the 6+ hours of near-silence I will experience on the flight home.

San Francisco is a beautiful, energetic city. At 7:30 in the morning, though, the number of people wandering aimlessly and muttering to themselves is staggering.
