Late in 2007, around our first wedding anniversary, Mrs. G and I found out that Tiny was on his way. That Christmas I commemorated his anticipated arrival with an ornament; it was a bun in an oven.
Each Christmas since then, I’ve made a new one.
On Tiny’s first Christmas I made a cast of his hand print. He has a single transverse palmar crease on each hand, which is pretty rare.
His second Christmas I made a dog. He was quite taken with them at the time and his favorite gift was an animatronic dog that whimpered and barked.
This year it’s a bucket loader. He is obsessed.
His mom says she still prefers the bun in the oven.Me, while I’m not generally a heavy equipment guy, I like the bucket loader.
