Since When is “Cheap and Creepy” the Same as “Scary?”

The robopetters went to Target today and the holiday section was rife with tacky, loud and downright pointless Halloween crap.

I realized that the spookiest part of most motorized ghoulie garbage is the low grinding of plastic gears and the blown-out audio coming from the speakers. The skeleton in the top hat certainly didn’t scare Tiny Gresh because it was a skeleton (he doesn’t even know what that is), but because it was badly put together.

I love Halloween; it’s my favorite holiday. And I am a fan of most Halloween decorations, but in this case, I’m with Tiny. Give me a rubber spider and a cardboard werewolf with brass brads for joints over this junk any day.
